Room To Breathe is the first song Geysers sat down and wrote together. It was a learning experience, and has continued to be through the recording, mixing and live performance phases that it has now gone through. It tells of greed and corruption, and the seeming futility of fighting against these evils.

ROOM TO BREATHE

I don't agree with the powers that be,
Thinking of people as a commodity.
Claiming to be acting in the interest of we,
Charging us concession while their tickets are free.
Their thoughts are based on way that worked in the past,
They should know this century won't be like the last.
Business as usual will not be surpassed,
Assuming we're not destroyed by a nuclear blast.


A sea of desert and an ocean of sand,
Slipping through fingertips bereft of a hand.
Overwhelming power more than we'd ever planned,
Taking out frustration on the innocent land.
The chance of winning is a thousand to one.
Some consequences cannot be undone.
We're travelling down the barrel of a gun,
You know when you can't hide that you've gotta run.


So take a moment with me, let's plan for reality.
Let's take a moment to think how we can swim and not sink.
I'll give you this one for free - we could be drowning in sea.
To take us back from the brink, our population must shrink.
